CampusCURES was established in recognition of the differences that distinguish higher education from other kinds of workplaces and living/learning environments. In person and online, we specialize in developing and delivering a targeted set of services, addressing the unique needs of colleges and universities, large and small, public and private, including community colleges and vocational and technical training schools. Both online and "offline," CampusCURES engages faculty, administrators, students, trustees/regents, Greek communities, and other campus constituencies as selected by the institution. Interactive options range from online educational sessions to consultation by phone, via the Internet, and on-site. Barbara F. Geffen, Esq., serves as Managing Director of CampusCURES, which draws on the strength and depth of AGOS.

Why CampusCURES?
Here's just one reason...
An enrolled student residing in a campus residence hall shot and wounded his ex-girlfriend, in front of several students, outside her sorority house. The victim had previously complained to the Dean of Students that this ex-boyfriend was stalking her (and shared copies of the threatening messages). On her own, she had obtained a restraining order and gave a copy to campus security. The victim was transported by ambulance and, from her hospital bed, already gave a statement to the local and student newspapers.
The victim's parents have arrived … a sense of panic and fear is spreading across the campus, fueled by words from angry faculty … representatives from all sorority houses are demanding a meeting … and the media have appeared at the door of the President's office.

CampusCURES online modules are designed to facilitate Internet-mediated, interactive learning, by users, of the institution's policies, procedures, and practices, as well as best practices risk management standards. Sessions can be tailored to provide tracking, with reminders to individuals, reports to designated officials, and updates. Users often can participate any time of any day or night, at each individual's preferred pace, logging in and out of a session as time permits, from any computer as authorized by the institution.

Through the use of video or telephone conferencing, email, site visits, and other media, CampusCURES can assist an institution in assessing and addressing its needs. These initiatives include review and development of policies, manuals, protocols, training sessions, new employee and Board/Regents orientation programs, crisis management/response tools, and other risk management approaches and solutions.
CAMPUS VISITS
Our practice group and strategic partnerships across North America (and beyond) allow CampusCURES to conduct intensive and in-depth site visits, by consultants with expertise relevant to specific regions, working knowledge of applicable laws and legal systems, and the ability to engage in focused assessment and subsequent reports, as requested.
