The Psychology of Employee Motivation
Abraham Maslow developed the concept of the Hierarchy of Needs, and it has been extensively applied to employee motivation. Maslow’s Hierarchy suggests that people are motivated by five levels of need and the higher-level needs do not motivate until lower level needs are met.
